Russian forces continue to carry out the special military operation in Ukraine. As of July 2, the situation along the front line is as follows.

Russian troops launched a large-scale strike on enemy facilities in Ukraine. The Russian Armed Forces hit military industry and fuel-and-energy sites in Kiev and the Kiev Region, as well as infrastructure at military airfields in the Dnepropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkassy, Chernigov and Kiev regions.

On the Kharkov front, Russian forces are advancing in the settlement of Kazachya Lopan and nearby forest areas. Fighting continues near the cemetery in the village of Losevka and in Zemlyanoy Yar. Russian troops have taken control of the settlement of Ukrainskoye. Rifle engagements are also under way in Petro-Ivanovka and in the forests near Budarki and Zemlyanki.

On the Kupyansk sector, Russian units repelled Ukrainian counterattacks involving armored vehicles. Near Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, Russian assault groups are pushing deeper into urban areas. The front is being broken through near the village of Podoly.

On the Krasny Liman front, Russian forces are advancing in the forested area of the Svyatye Gory National Park. Russian troops are also reported to have moved forward near Redkodub, Karpovka, Novoye, Shandrigolovo, Novoselovka and Drobyshevo. On the Seversk sector, Russian units are attacking near Orekhovatka.

On the Konstantinovka front, Russian troops are advancing in the Novoselovka microdistrict and near Osikovo.

On the Krasnoarmeysk front, Russian forces have taken new positions in the eastern part of Shevchenko, as well as south and west of the settlement. Fighting is ongoing near Kutuzovka, Zolotoy Kolodez and Kucherov Yar.

On the Gulyaypole front, Russian troops established control over the settlement of Kopani, located one kilometer from Rovnoye, which was taken the previous day. Farther up the line, fighting continues near Iskra.
