The Pole-31 electronic warfare system is designed to suppress drones using satellite navigation at a distance of at least two kilometers. TASS was told about the station’s capabilities by its developer, NPO Kilowatt.

The company noted that the system’s key technological advantage is the suppression of satellite navigation signals that UAVs rely on for orientation, route planning and carrying out combat missions.

Pole-31 can affect drones operating with GPS, GLONASS, Beidou and Galileo navigation systems.

According to NPO Kilowatt, the station is placed on elevated terrain. The system can be used to protect military infrastructure, industrial enterprises, fuel-and-energy facilities, the agricultural sector and critical infrastructure from drones.
