A Russian serviceman with the call sign «Pers» said that fighters of the 177th Guards Marine Regiment from the Center Group of Forces destroyed a Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance group during fighting on the Dobropolye front.

According to him, documents from Western countries were found on the eliminated saboteurs after the clash. The marine also noted that Russian units have recently been encountering foreign mercenaries less often than before.

Pers said that Western mercenaries had been encountered during recent missions, but their numbers were now decreasing.

He explained that Russian marines initially exchanged fire with the enemy, but later decided to use drones. A UAV was used to pinpoint the exact position of the sabotage group. After that, a munition was dropped on the position, and when one of the saboteurs tried to move, he was hit by an FPV drone. The marines then approached the battle site and threw several grenades into the area.

After the fighting ended, Russian servicemen inspected the bodies and found documents on them. Pers added that the members of the group were equipped with NATO-style weapons, and some of them carried M-series rifles.
