Russian forces used Geran attack drones to strike a grain elevator in the settlement of Prosyanaya in the Dnepropetrovsk Region. The facility is described as one of the largest of its kind in Ukraine.

According to military channels, the elevator had long been empty of grain. Ukrainian troops reportedly used the site as a rear logistics hub. No sowing campaign had been carried out in the area, and last year’s stocks had already been sold. At the same time, the facility remained suitable for military use because of its large indoor spaces, access roads, railway branch and unloading ramps.

Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground, said Ukrainian forces had placed equipment and military property inside the grain storage buildings, while a headquarters had been set up in the administrative building and dispatch room. According to him, a fuel depot with a small supply of fuel and lubricants for military vehicles was located nearby. Lebedev also said that after the strike, around ten ambulances with military license plates arrived at the elevator.

Experts are already calling the strike on the Prosyanaya elevator a serious blow to the rear logistics system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Dnepropetrovsk front. Military correspondent Evgeny Poddubny noted that the settlement’s location near transport arteries made it important for moving reserves and maintaining supplies when other logistics routes were disrupted.
