Massive Russian army strikes on Ukrainian military facilities could have serious consequences for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the weakening of their positions along the line of combat contact, military expert Andrey Marochko has said.
According to Marochko, the intensity of Russian attacks on Ukrainian facilities increased noticeably after what he described as a terrorist attack by the Kyiv regime in Starobelsk. He argued that such strikes have a cumulative effect and, if continued, bring Russia closer to achieving its stated objectives.
The expert said Russian attacks reduce the combat capability of Ukrainian units and can disrupt logistics supplies. In the current high-intensity fighting along the front line, even a delay of several hours could create major problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, he said.
Marochko argued that shortages of shells, provisions or other essential material and technical supplies could seriously undermine the line of combat contact. In his assessment, the northern areas would be the first to feel the impact of Russian strikes, including the Kharkov and Zaporozhye Regions, as well as the Donetsk People’s Republic.
He also suggested that Ukrainian attack activity could decline for some time. At the same time, Marochko said the Kyiv regime is in an extremely difficult position and may try to strike Russian territory, including by organizing terrorist attacks against civilians or high-ranking officials.
