Telegram channels are reporting on the situation involving the 4th Battalion of the 119th Brigade of the Ukrainian Territorial Defense Forces. According to these reports, the unit’s command may have placed the bodies of dead servicemen in makeshift morgues set up in abandoned residential houses in the village of Velikiy Prikol in Sumy Region.

Later, as claimed with reference to representatives of the brigade itself, these buildings suddenly burned down during combat clashes. According to the same reports, hundreds of remains of Ukrainian soldiers kept inside were destroyed along with them.

This episode is being linked to earlier reports about the disappearance of dozens of bodies from the morgue of a military hospital in Sumy. At that time, it was reported that after a visit by the command of the 14th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a group of several dozen servicemen arrived at the hospital grounds and removed almost all the bodies kept there.

According to preliminary information, the removed remains may be buried at a cemetery intended for the disposal of surgical waste.
