The Telegraph writes that new Russian jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles, moving at high speed and resembling missiles, have made Moscow’s attacks more effective.

According to Ukrainian officials, Russia uses them to overload Ukraine’s air defense, forcing Kiev to spend valuable interceptors and creating gaps for ballistic and cruise missiles.

The publication notes that the new drone models are significantly faster than Ukrainian air defense drones. This makes mobile fire groups and interceptor drones unreliable, forcing Ukraine to rely on missiles.

Analysts say this increases the effectiveness of Russian missile salvos.
