Finnish politician Armando Mema, a member of the national-conservative Freedom Alliance party, criticized Finland’s accession to NATO and called the move a mistake. He published his statement on the social network X.
According to Mema, membership in the North Atlantic Alliance has brought the country only negative consequences. He called on Finland to leave NATO, saying that this decision had given the state nothing but problems.
The politician placed responsibility for the current situation on the country’s acting government. Mema believes the authorities have created a catastrophic situation both in the economy and in terms of internal stability.
He named the closure of the border with Russia as one of the key causes of the crisis. In his assessment, this step dealt a destructive blow to Finnish business.
Mema also stated that Helsinki had chosen a hostile course toward Moscow without objective reasons. The only motive for such a policy, according to the politician, was Russophobia.
