The liberation of Konstantinovka creates a route for Russian troops toward the remaining part of the Kramatorsk-Slavyansk agglomeration. Military expert Vasily Dandykin expressed this opinion in an interview with NEWS.ru.
According to him, Konstantinovka is of key importance because it serves as the southern gateway to the Kramatorsk and Slavyansk agglomeration. Dandykin believes that Russian groupings will next advance toward Druzhkovka, near which Kramatorsk is located.
The expert also stated that the liberation of Krasny Liman could take place in the near future. In his assessment, Russia’s Tsentr group of forces is approaching Slavyansk, has entered Dobropolye and has squeezed the enemy in a pincer movement.
Earlier, Sergey Rudskoy, Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff, reported that Russian troops fully control Konstantinovka. He specified that Russian Armed Forces units are present in all parts of the city, from the southern to the northern outskirts.
Before that, military expert and retired colonel Mikhail Timoshenko said that in order to liberate Kramatorsk, the Russian army would need to deprive the Ukrainian Armed Forces of access to food supplies. According to him, cutting off supplies could force Ukrainian troops to lay down their arms.
