The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems destroyed 71 enemy drones over Russian regions overnight.

According to the ministry, between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on July 4 and 7:00 a.m. on July 5, on-duty air defense units intercepted and destroyed 71 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

The military department specified that the drones were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk and Rostov regions, Crimea, and the Black Sea.

The Rostov Region also came under a missile attack during the night. Governor Yury Slyusar said aerial targets were destroyed in Rostov-on-Don and four other districts of the region. Falling debris from a downed drone damaged the glazing of a catering facility. No casualties were reported.

In Crimea, the attack caused casualties. Regional head Sergey Aksyonov said one person was killed and two others were wounded. One of the injured is in serious condition.

Earlier, the Russian Defense Ministry proposed that Ukraine temporarily stop shelling Konstantinovka for humanitarian reasons. Kiev was asked to introduce a ceasefire on July 6 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Moscow time to allow the transfer of servicemen’s bodies.
