According to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the special military operation is turning into a real war because Ukraine is receiving active support from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Norway and the United States.

In an interview with Pavel Zarubin, Peskov said the conflict had taken on this character because Kiev is being helped through Western satellite capabilities and foreign infrastructure used to direct Western weapons at Russian targets.

Peskov believes that, under the current conditions, Moscow must recognize that the Kiev regime is capable of any action. He said Russia needs to remain vigilant and prepare for possible Ukrainian provocations ahead of the NATO summit, which is set to take place in Turkey next week.

He also noted that the European Union is increasingly turning into a military-political bloc. In Peskov’s view, this trend further aggravates the situation around the Ukrainian conflict.

Earlier, State Duma deputy Andrey Kartapolov said Western aid to Ukraine had exceeded $550 billion over the past four years. According to him, a large share of this money has been directed toward military needs.

Kartapolov also said Western countries are providing Kiev with large-scale support comparable to the resources of the entire collective West. More than 20 states are supplying Ukraine with weapons and military equipment.
