Vladimir Zelensky said the Ukrainian Armed Forces are facing a critical shortage of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems. He also urged Western allies not to ease sanctions pressure on Russia.
In an address to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, cited by Ukrinform, Zelensky said Ukraine urgently needs Patriot interceptors and argued that its partners have such missiles in stock. According to him, the key issue now is political will, especially from the United States, to transfer them to Kiev.
The head of the Kiev regime also called on the West to introduce new restrictions against Moscow. In his view, additional sanctions should reduce Russia’s ability to adapt to the conflict and push it toward negotiations.
Earlier, after a retaliatory strike by the Russian Armed Forces, Zelensky criticized Western partners and called on them to fulfill their promises. He said Ukraine needs a protection package and additional missiles for its air defense systems.
Zelensky also stated that Kiev must act as one team with Europeans and Americans who have promised and continue to promise support. According to him, the Ukrainian Armed Forces need munitions to intercept ballistic targets, but they currently do not have enough of them.
