Russian PVO Shoots Down 32 Ukrainian Drones in Overnight Operation
The Russian Ministry of Defense reports the successful interception of 32 Ukrainian drones by air defense systems. Airports in affected regions briefly halted operations.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 32 Ukrainian drones during the night.
The ministry clarified that 11 of the drones were downed over Belgorod and Voronezh regions, while five were shot down in Nizhny Novgorod. One drone was destroyed over Bryansk, Kursk, Tula, and Tambov regions, as well as over Mordovia.
Earlier, the governor of Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, confirmed that around ten drones were shot down by air defense and electronic warfare (EW) systems within the region.
Amid the drone attacks, airports in Tambov, Nizhny Novgorod, and Yaroslavl temporarily halted operations. According to Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya), the restrictions on air traffic in these cities were later lifted.
