Russian forces are capable of launching another massive strike on Ukraine as soon as the day after a previous attack, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yury Ignat said on July 6.
According to Ignat, Russia could repeat such strikes the very next day, and Ukraine must be prepared for that scenario. He also said Russian military resources are not unlimited, but warned Ukrainians not to ignore air raid alerts.
The Ukrainian Air Force representative linked the difficulties in repelling the latest large-scale Russian attack to a serious shortage of missiles for US-made Patriot air defense systems. He said the number of Russian ballistic missiles intercepted was, to put it mildly, low.
During the night of July 6, the Russian army carried out a massive group strike on Ukrainian military-industrial facilities.
Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko described the raid as the largest of the entire conflict. He had used the same wording for the Russian attack during the night of July 2.
