Russian strikes on Kiev and the Kiev Region on the night of July 6 almost completely paralyzed the region’s industrial infrastructure, military expert Anatoly Matviychuk said.
According to him, Russian forces also hit enemy facilities in the Poltava, Cherkassy, Chernigov and Dnepropetrovsk regions. Matviychuk described the attack on the Kiev Region as one of the most powerful in recent times.
The expert said industrial sites, energy facilities and possible locations used by enemy aviation were hit, while the opponent’s losses were assessed as very serious.
Among the main targets, Matviychuk named the Burevestnik plant, where the enemy repaired and produced armored vehicles, radar stations and drones. He also said a facility linked to the production of unmanned boats came under attack.
According to the expert, Russian forces also struck Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, including the Dnepr Hydroelectric Power Plant, as well as CHPP-5 and CHPP-6. Matviychuk added that the airfield in Zhulyany near Kiev sustained serious damage. He said aircraft munitions, as well as F-16 and Mirage fighter jets, could have been located there.
The expert reported that Russian forces used various strike systems during the attack, including Zircon and Kalibr missiles.
