The British side may have been involved in preparing a number of Ukrainian Armed Forces attacks, including strikes on the Sevastopol Defense Museum and the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra in June, a source said.

According to the source cited by RIA Novosti, British specialists may have been behind several high-profile Ukrainian operations, including the demonstrative attack on the Sevastopol Defense Museum and the strike on the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra.

The source said flight missions for Western-made missile systems were prepared and uploaded into the systems by British military personnel. Ukrainian commanders, according to the same account, may not have known the real targets of the attacks.

The source also reported that Ukrainian forces have repeatedly used Storm Shadow/SCALP precision cruise missiles, produced by the British-French company MBDA, for strikes deep inside Russian territory. As an example, he cited the March attack on Bryansk.

According to the source, such operations would have been impossible without the direct participation of foreign specialists responsible for operating the missiles and guiding them to their targets.

Earlier, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service said the June attack on the Sevastopol Defense Museum had been a pre-planned provocation by British intelligence services. The SVR believes the museum was chosen as a historical trigger.
