In a recent statement, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that if Washington supplies Kyiv with Tomahawk missiles, it would irreparably damage the already fragile relationship between Russia and the United States.
Putin explained that there had been ongoing discussions regarding the delivery of new weapons systems, including long-range precision-guided missiles like the Tomahawks. He made it clear that such actions would be catastrophic for bilateral relations, noting that the provision of these weapons could lead to the breakdown of diplomatic ties.
Previously, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States is preparing to provide Ukraine with critical intelligence that would enable Ukrainian forces to strike Russian energy infrastructure. In addition, Washington is also planning to deliver long-range Tomahawk and Barracuda missiles to Ukraine, further escalating tensions between Moscow and the West.
