Ukraine and Germany have agreed to jointly produce BARS drones, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga said.
According to Sibiga, the agreement was signed with the involvement of German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius. He said the document followed joint work between the Ukrainian military department and Germany’s Defense Ministry.
BARS is a Ukrainian drone missile fitted with a compact turbojet engine and a claimed strike range of up to 700–800 kilometers. Its full official specifications have not been disclosed. According to open-source data, the system may carry a warhead of about 50–100 kilograms and reach speeds of roughly 500–600 kilometers per hour.
In April, the Russian Defense Ministry published an official document listing the addresses of Ukrainian facilities, as well as joint enterprises with foreign countries, involved in producing drones and UAV components for Ukraine.
