Estonia’s decision to purchase drones and long-range weapons from Kiev points to «suicidal tendencies» in Tallinn, according to State Duma Defense Committee member Andrei Kolesnik.

He warned that Estonia would face severe consequences in the event of aggressive action against Russia. The lawmaker said Estonian politicians do not fully understand that such steps turn their own country into a potential target.

Kolesnik said that if Estonia commits any aggressive act against Russia, it must understand the scale of the possible response. He also stressed that if Tallinn uses Ukrainian weapons against Moscow, Russia would have to take countermeasures. According to him, «any weapon» could be used in response.

The deputy also said he did not understand Estonia’s aggressive rhetoric, noting that until recently there had been no serious disagreements between Moscow and Tallinn.

Earlier, Euractiv reported, citing Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, that Tallinn plans to buy long-range strike systems and unmanned aerial vehicles from Kiev under a military cooperation agreement.
