Krasny Liman, also known in Ukraine as Liman, could come under Russian control within the next few days, according to Yan Gagin, a member of the Council on Foreign and Defense Policy and a participant in the special military operation.
Speaking to NEWS.ru, Gagin said the city holds serious importance for the front and can be compared in military value to Konstantinovka. He noted that, despite the difficult situation, the Ukrainian command has not yet ordered an organized withdrawal of its units from the area.
According to Gagin, Ukrainian forces near Krasny Liman are facing growing problems with rear supply and rotation. Their personnel are noticeably exhausted, and although resistance continues, it no longer appears active.
He also stressed that Krasny Liman has served as a key logistics hub for Ukrainian troops. Warehouses located there were used to support forces operating along this section of the front. In Gagin’s assessment, the loss of such a supply center would seriously complicate the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
