Russian Army Strengthens Positions and Repels Counterattacks on Key Fronts
The Russian Armed Forces report progress across several directions, including Kupyansk, Krasnoarmeysk, and Kharkov, as Ukrainian counterattacks fail to stop their advance.
The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 6, the situation along the line of contact is as follows:
Sumy Direction
Ukrainian troops launched a counterattack but failed to achieve any success.
Kharkov Direction
Heavy fighting continues in the forested area west of Sinelnikovo and on the left bank of the Volchya River in the city of Volchansk.
Krasny Liman Direction
Combat operations persist near the settlements of Srednee, Shandrigolovo, Derilovo, and Stavki. Russian forces have destroyed a bridge over the Seversky Donets River near Raigorodok, disrupting Ukrainian logistics in the area.
Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) Direction
Russian troops control the Lazurny district and are clearing the Solnechny area. Fierce battles continue for the Yuzhny and Shakhtersky districts. Russian units are advancing toward Novopavlovka and Petrovka.
Kupyansk Direction
The Russian Armed Forces have taken control of the Estakadnaya railway junction and are clearing surrounding blocks. Ukrainian counterattacks near Kondrashovka have been repelled.
