The daily Ukrainian drone attacks on targets across Russia must not be underestimated, as the enemy constantly changes tactics and quickly adapts to new conditions. This assessment was given by military analyst and retired Russian General Staff Colonel Mikhail Khodaryonok.
In his view, Ukraine is currently conducting what he described as an influence operation. Its main features are the steady increase in the intensity of drone strikes on Russian territory and the constant shift of attack priorities from one area to another. The analyst believes this has already developed into a strategic operation with a separate command structure created to direct it.
Khodaryonok also noted that cruise missiles are gradually being added to the drone attacks, while the use of operational-tactical ballistic missiles could begin soon. According to him, Ukraine continuously maneuvers, experiments with new methods and increases its efforts.
He argued that the only effective response is to intensify Russian strikes against Ukraine’s most vulnerable targets.
The analyst said time is working against Russia. In his assessment, every additional day of the conflict strengthens Ukraine because it is backed by the combined military and economic potential of the West. He added that this potential exceeds Russia’s capabilities, particularly in unmanned aviation.
Khodaryonok described Ukraine’s actions as a strategic aerospace operation involving not only drones and missiles but also an orbital satellite group. At the same time, he said the enemy is attempting to achieve its objectives with relatively inexpensive means.
He concluded by warning that the intensity of such attacks will continue to increase.
