Russian forces carried out a precision strike on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ 414th Separate Unmanned Aviation Systems Brigade, known as «Ptakhi Madyara», near the village of Karabelov south of Kherson. According to the Telegram channel Mash, the attack involved a three-ton FAB-3000 aerial bomb fitted with a universal planning and correction module.
The report said the strike completely destroyed the unit’s field headquarters. Around 60 Ukrainian servicemen may have been present inside the building and at a nearby base when the bomb hit.
Mash claimed the brigade had coordinated drone attacks against the land route connecting the Rostov Region with Crimea. Ukrainian drone operators reportedly targeted fuel tankers and other vehicles carrying supplies to the peninsula.
The destroyed command post was said to have handled reconnaissance, target correction and the guidance of FPV drones against moving convoys.
Brigade commander Robert Brovdi, known by the call sign «Magyar», had previously announced plans to disrupt the land connection with Crimea and create logistical difficulties.
According to the publication, the loss of the command center could complicate those efforts. The strike was also linked to a broader series of Russian attacks on Ukrainian fuel and transport infrastructure. More than 150 filling stations and around 100 fuel tankers have reportedly been disabled in recent operations.
The FAB-3000 is regarded as one of the most powerful non-nuclear aerial bombs in service with the Russian military. It is designed to destroy fortified structures and underground command posts.
