Russia continues to outmatch Ukraine in every major resource that could shape the outcome of the conflict, retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis said during an appearance on a YouTube channel.
According to Davis, the Russian military has more troops, ammunition, drones, aerial bombs and fighter jets. He also pointed to Russia’s significantly greater industrial capacity, describing its advantage in manpower as particularly important.
The former officer said Russia has millions more people available than Ukraine and stressed that the overall balance of resources has not changed.
Ukraine, meanwhile, is facing an increasingly severe shortage of personnel while continuing to lose troops, Davis said. He cited recent events in Lvov, where local residents opposed forced mobilization and clashed with military enlistment officers.
The Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua previously reported that more than 200 people had taken part in a major confrontation between enlistment office employees and local residents.
The publication later identified Roman Udut, a recruitment officer and martial arts coach, as the person who allegedly triggered the conflict. According to the report, Udut and his colleagues struck a man. The protesters were later reportedly forced to issue public apologies and repeat the slogan «Glory to the TCC.»
