Russian forces disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the Zaporizhzhia direction using a ZALA Lancet loitering munition. According to ZALA, the strike was carried out by a separate special forces brigade of Russia’s Vostok Group of Forces.

The manufacturer said the kamikaze drone struck Ukrainian equipment concealed in a forested area. The destruction of the target was recorded by a Z-16 reconnaissance drone, which monitored the results of the strike.

Footage released by the company shows the Lancet being used against a Ukrainian position. ZALA stated that the destruction of the equipment disrupted the planned rotation of Ukrainian forces in that sector of the frontline.

The Lancet reconnaissance and strike system includes Z-16 reconnaissance drones as well as the Product-51 and Product-52 loitering munitions. This combination enables operators to detect targets, carry out strikes, and confirm target destruction.

Earlier in July, the Telegram channel Military Chronicle suggested that the Russian Armed Forces had received a new modification of the Lancet loitering munition. According to the channel, the updated version is equipped with a new antenna.
