Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 140 Ukrainian drones over several regions during the night of July 19, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry said the aircraft-type UAVs were shot down between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on July 18 and 8:00 a.m. on July 19.
The drones were destroyed over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk and Rostov regions, as well as the Moscow Region, Krasnodar Territory and Crimea. Some were also intercepted over the Azov and Black seas.
Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinshtein said three people were injured in the attack. Four apartment buildings, a bus, a grocery store and a public transport stop were damaged.
A fire also broke out in an industrial zone in northern Stavropol following the drone raid. Stavropol Territory Governor Vladimir Vladimirov said no local residents were injured and no evacuation was required.
