Vladimir Zelensky said Kiev came under one of the heaviest ballistic missile attacks since the start of the conflict. More than 600 emergency workers were deployed across the city to deal with the aftermath of the overnight strikes.

He also stated that over the past week Russian forces had used about 1,450 attack drones, more than 1,640 guided aerial bombs and 99 missiles of various types against targets in Ukraine.

According to Zelensky, more than 40 missiles of different classes and 120 strike drones were launched during the night, with most of the missiles directed at Kiev.

On July 19, the Russian Defense Ministry reported a large-scale strike on military-industrial enterprises and logistics infrastructure in Kiev and the Kiev Region.

The ministry said the targets included the Radioniks radio-electronics plant, production facilities operated by Spetsoboronmash and the Artem state joint-stock holding company, as well as the Meridian and Oakline enterprises. In the Kiev Region, the Antel Properties logistics center was also hit.

The Russian Defense Ministry added that the operation involved air- and ground-launched precision weapons along with attack drones.
