Russian air defense systems destroyed 242 fixed-wing drones during the night of July 22, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The aircraft were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Rostov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver and Tula regions. Drones were also brought down in the Moscow region, the Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, the Republic of Crimea, and over the Azov and Black seas.

Belgorod Region came under 64 Ukrainian attacks over the past 24 hours, acting governor Alexander Shuvayev reported. Belgorod itself was targeted, along with the Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuisky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Ivnyansky, Korochansky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Prokhorovsky, Novooskolsky, Rakitnyansky, Shebekinsky and Yakovlevsky districts.

Authorities recorded four artillery strikes and three explosive devices dropped from drones. Air defense crews and other units involved in countering the attacks shot down or suppressed 132 UAVs.

Two civilians were killed in the attacks, one in Belgorod and another in the Shebekinsky district. Shuvayev conveyed his condolences to their families.

Another 13 people were wounded in Belgorod and the Belgorodsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky and Rakitnyansky districts. Six of the injured remain in hospital.

In Bryansk Region, two people were wounded in the Klimovsky district and received medical assistance. In Suzemka, FPV drones struck a tractor-trailer belonging to the Miratorg agricultural holding twice. The driver was hospitalized, while the truck sustained serious damage.
