Russian forces struck a training ground in the Kiev Region on the afternoon of July 24 while it was hosting the Armada weapons and unmanned systems exhibition, UNIAN reported.

The attack was confirmed by the Ukrainian Council of Armourers and the Kiev Regional Military Administration. Valery Borovik, founder of the defence company First Contact, said the strike targeted a site in the Buchansky District.

According to Borovik, the facility sustained a powerful hit that caused destruction across the grounds. Some reports suggested that ballistic missiles may have been used, although this was not confirmed in the provided information.

Shortly before the event, its organisers published an online announcement promising to showcase integrated systems designed to protect critical infrastructure from modern aerial threats. The promotional material also claimed that the exhibition site had a high level of security.

Among those attending was Sergei Beskrestnov, a radio technology specialist known by the call sign Flash. He serves as a freelance adviser to the Ukrainian president and previously advised former Defence Minister Mikhail Fedorov. Beskrestnov said neither he nor his team had been injured in the attack.

Vladimir Zelensky reported that six people were killed in the Russian strike on the Kiev Region.

The attack followed reports that ten ballistic missiles had struck targets in Kiev and the surrounding area. An air raid alert was declared across the Kiev Region.
