Russian forces launched another large-scale missile strike against targets in Ukraine’s rear areas during the afternoon of July 24, according to the SHOT Telegram channel. The report said ten ballistic missiles were used in the attack.

Strikes were reported near Troeshchina, Berezan and Vasilkov, as well as in the Chernigov Region. Air raid alerts were activated in Kiev and across the Kiev Region.

In Marganets, Dnepropetrovsk Region, a Geran-4 strike drone hit an Ukrnafta petrol station, triggering a fire. According to the report, the facility had been used to supply fuel to units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The port of Izmail in the Odessa Region was also targeted. The strike reportedly hit a warehouse and destroyed infrastructure used to unload and store military cargo. Three storage facilities containing unmanned boats were also said to have been destroyed, along with a hangar housing Ukrainian military equipment.

Sergei Lebedev, a coordinator of the pro-Russian underground movement in Nikolayev, said the Vasilkov military airfield outside Kiev was among the targets. Fighter aircraft used to intercept Russian Geran drones are reportedly based at the facility.

Earlier reports said US intelligence had warned the Ukrainian authorities on the evening of July 23 that Russian forces were preparing a large-scale attack.
