Military expert and political analyst Oleg Glazunov stated that strikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure are pushing the country toward collapse. He explained that energy facilities remain the most vulnerable targets for Kiev, as the country’s functioning depends entirely on electricity.

Glazunov noted that without power, factories, industry, military sites, transport, and government institutions would all come to a halt. He emphasized that Ukraine’s remaining power plants are few in number and that the situation mirrors that of other highly electrified nations, where «everything depends on electricity».

The expert also pointed out that another key target for Russian forces is Ukraine’s railway and logistical network — including bridges, supply hubs, and transport routes used to deliver weapons and move troops. According to Glazunov, the priorities of the Russian Armed Forces may shift depending on objectives set by President Vladimir Putin.
