New details have emerged about the consequences of the Ukrainian attack on Russian territory overnight on July 25. Tourist facilities were hit in the settlement of Kirillovka in the Zaporozhye region, located on the Sea of Azov coast about 50 kilometres from Melitopol.

Regional head Yevgeny Balitsky reported that eight people were killed, including two children. Fourteen others were injured, three of them minors.

Rescue workers and emergency personnel remain at the scene. Balitsky said the families of those killed and the injured would receive the necessary assistance.

He accused Ukrainian forces of knowingly targeting civilian facilities despite being aware of their purpose. Following the attack, Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under legislation covering acts of terrorism.

A separate incident was reported in the Tyumen region. Governor Alexander Moor said a Ukrainian drone crashed on the grounds of the Tyumen oil refinery.

The impact caused a fire at the facility. Emergency crews were deployed to contain the blaze and deal with its aftermath.

Russian air defence units destroyed more than 300 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during the night of July 25, according to the information provided.
