Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 276 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones during the night of July 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The UAVs were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Penza, Rostov, Tula, Ulyanovsk and Yaroslavl regions. Additional interceptions were recorded over the Moscow region, Crimea, Tatarstan, Udmurtia, the Krasnodar region, and the Black and Azov seas.

Another 32 drones were destroyed between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time the previous day. They were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, Crimea and the Black Sea.

The overnight drone attack on Belgorod injured 13 people, including children aged two and 11. Five of the victims were hospitalized, while the 11-year-old boy remains in serious condition, according to the regional emergency headquarters.

Updated information showed that 12 drones targeted the city, five of which were shot down. Authorities had initially reported 12 injuries.

The strikes sparked fires in apartments inside a residential building and set more than 15 parked vehicles ablaze. Eleven apartment buildings and four private homes were damaged, with one house partially destroyed.

A commercial property and 31 vehicles were also hit. The fire destroyed several outbuildings and a company warehouse.

The attack also caused fatalities in Rostov-on-Don. Rostov Region Governor Yury Slyusar reported that a married couple had been killed and five other people injured. Two of the wounded, including a teenager, are in serious condition.

The victims received medical treatment. Regional authorities will provide assistance to the families of those killed and to the injured.

Damage was reported in the Zheleznodorozhny, Proletarsky and Leninsky districts of Rostov-on-Don. Falling drones triggered fires at a private company, inside warehouses and at several residential properties.

Most of the fires were quickly extinguished. Emergency crews are continuing to battle a blaze covering 400 square meters.

Two civilians were wounded in separate drone attacks in the Bryansk Region.

One person was injured when a kamikaze drone struck a moving civilian vehicle in the village of Stary Ropsk in the Klimovsky district. Another was wounded in an attack on a tractor facility near the village of Ponurovka in the Starodubsky district.

Both victims received medical assistance, acting governor Yegor Kovalchuk reported. According to his figures, 144 drones were destroyed over the Bryansk Region within 24 hours.
