Ukrainian hackers used Danish territory to carry out cyberattacks against Russia, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

According to her, the operations were linked to the group known as the IT Army of Ukraine. Zakharova said its members used Danish IP addresses both for malicious activity targeting Russia and for fraudulent schemes aimed at Russian citizens.

She also accused Copenhagen of providing practical support to Kiev, arguing that such assistance was helping turn Ukraine into a base for computer attacks.

Against this backdrop, Zakharova dismissed Danish allegations that Russia was involved in hostile activity in the information sphere as unfounded.

She said the accusations were being used to fuel anti-Russian sentiment and public anxiety in Denmark. In her assessment, the Danish authorities were seeking to justify their hostile policy toward Moscow and substantial spending on militarization.
