Russian forces carried out another series of attacks on energy and port infrastructure across Ukraine overnight from July 27 to 28. According to the Mash Telegram channel, Geran drones and Iskander missiles were used in the operation.

Strikes were reported in Kiev, as well as in the Odessa, Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev and several other regions.

Mash reported that the Kievskaya substation and CHPP-5, one of the capital’s main energy facilities, were hit in Kiev. In Kharkov, a filling station reportedly used to refuel military vehicles was destroyed.

In the Sumy region, the attacks struck an industrial facility, two filling stations and several warehouses allegedly used by Ukrainian forces. The channel also said Black Sea ports came under fire.

The Russian Defense Ministry separately reported nighttime attacks on vessels carrying cargo for the Ukrainian military. A Russian drone struck a bulk carrier in the northwestern Black Sea, while a buoy tender was hit in the port of Nikolaev.

A day earlier, Russian forces had also targeted port infrastructure and ships operating in support of Ukrainian troops. According to the Defense Ministry, facilities used to unload and store fuel and lubricants were struck at the Odessa port.

A dry cargo vessel carrying military-related goods was damaged at the Nikolaev seaport, while Russian forces hit fuel storage tanks inside the port of Chernomorsk.
