Ryazan Drone Attack Injures Six as Fires Hit Sites

An FP-1 drone attack on Ryazan injured six people and caused fires at industrial sites as the aircraft used evasive tactics to challenge air defenses.

Ukrainian forces attempted to strike Ryazan and the surrounding region with small groups of drones, using evasive maneuvers designed to complicate the work of Russian air defenses, according to the Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza.

The channel reported that Ukrainian units shifted the focus of their attacks to Ryazan after the previous day’s raid on the Moscow region.

According to the report, FP-1 drones entered the region in successive groups of two or three aircraft. While still some distance from their presumed targets, the drones repeatedly changed course and followed a so-called carousel pattern intended to make detection and interception more difficult.

The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense units destroyed 295 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory overnight on July 29.

Ryazan Region Governor Pavel Malkov reported fires at industrial sites following the attack. Six people were injured in Ryazan and the surrounding region. They received medical assistance, and their lives are not currently in danger.
