The Russian Armed Forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of October 8, the situation along the line of contact has evolved as follows:

Kharkov Axis

In the southern part of Volchansk, Russian troops have secured new positions in the industrial area. Additional advances are reported near the forest belt around Sinelnikovo, with Russian units also pushing forward in the wooded areas near Khatne.

Sumy Axis

Fighting continues around Alekseevka, where Ukrainian forces launch periodic counterattacks in an effort to slow the Russian advance.

Kupyansk Axis

Heavy fighting is underway in Kupyansk. Russian forces are gradually encircling the Ukrainian garrison in the city. Offensive actions are also taking place near Stepovaya Novoselovka and Peschanoye.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) Axis

Urban combat continues in this direction. Russian assault units are advancing through the streets toward Grishino, a key logistics hub for Ukrainian forces. In addition, Russian troops are pressing the enemy’s defenses in the Rodinskoye area.

Zaporozhye Axis

The Russian army has liberated the settlement of Novovasilevskoye. Significant gains have also been achieved along several sectors toward Alekseevka. Two unsuccessful Ukrainian counterattacks launched from Alekseevka resulted in the loss of up to a platoon of personnel. Intense fighting continues in the areas of Stepnogorsk and Primorskoye.
