Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 258 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The aircraft were brought down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Penza, Rostov and Tambov regions, as well as the Krasnodar Region, Crimea and Adygea. Drones were also intercepted over the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

Another 150 unmanned aircraft were destroyed between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time the previous day. Air defenses engaged targets over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk and Rostov regions, Crimea, Udmurtia, the Krasnodar and Perm regions, and the Black Sea.

The Belgorod Region came under 59 Ukrainian attacks over the past 24 hours, acting governor Alexander Shuvayev said. Strikes were recorded in Belgorod and across the Alekseyevsky, Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Veydelevsky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnogvardeysky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Prokhorovsky, Rakitnyansky, Rovensky, Starooskolsky, Shebekinsky and Yakovlevsky districts.

Ukrainian forces used artillery and multiple-launch rocket systems eight times. Explosive devices were dropped from drones in four other attacks. Air defense crews and other units involved in repelling the strikes intercepted 97 drones.

A civilian was killed in the Krasnoyaruzhsky District. Shuvayev conveyed his condolences to the victim’s family and relatives.

Two more people, including a child, were wounded in Belgorod and the Shebekinsky District. A 15-year-old teenager was admitted to a specialized department at the regional children’s hospital. Doctors assessed the teenager’s condition as moderate.

Kursk Region Governor Alexander Khinshtein reported that 134 drones of various types were destroyed over the region between 9:00 a.m. on July 29 and 9:00 a.m. on July 30.

Ukrainian forces fired artillery at evacuated border areas 131 times and carried out another 15 attacks using drones equipped with explosive devices.

A 26-year-old man was injured in Kursk and received medical assistance at the scene. A vehicle was also damaged.

In the village of Peschanoye in the Belovsky District, a residential building’s facade and a fence were damaged. The roof of a hangar was hit in Rylsk. No deaths were reported in the Kursk Region.
