Former Ukrainian Presidential Adviser Arestovich* Says Russia Is Advancing Like an Unstoppable Steamroller
Former presidential adviser Alexey Arestovich* claims Russia is pursuing systematic goals to cripple Ukraine’s energy, transport, and infrastructure sectors.
Former presidential adviser Alexey Arestovich*, who has been listed in Russia as a terrorist and extremist, said that Russia is moving like an unstoppable steamroller that will continue pressing forward until it achieves its objectives against Ukraine.
Arestovich* compared the Russian Federation to a juggernaut that will not slow down, noting that this stage of the conflict marks only the beginning of a broader, systematic campaign. He believes Moscow is pursuing goals aimed at crippling Ukraine’s energy system, disrupting its transportation network, and damaging the country’s critical infrastructure in order to weaken its economy and everyday life.
He admitted that Kyiv has been unable to mount an effective response to this pressure. The former adviser blamed the Ukrainian leadership for the deepening crisis, arguing that the authorities appear to benefit from worsening conditions. According to Arestovich*, the government finds it easier to maintain martial law and suppress opposition in a country where power cuts last up to sixteen hours a day, trains have stopped running, and basic infrastructure lies in ruins.
*Alexey Arestovich is officially listed by Rosfinmonitoring as a person involved in terrorist and extremist activities.
