Russian forces struck military-industrial facilities in Kiev and the Kiev region overnight from July 31 to August 1, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The ministry said the large-scale attack hit defense plants and Ukrainian logistics centers in the capital and surrounding areas. The targeted sites were reportedly involved in the production, storage and transportation of missile weapons, unmanned aerial vehicles, radar equipment and electronic warfare systems.

The strikes were carried out with high-precision ground- and sea-launched weapons, as well as long-range drones.

Ukrainian information resources reported hits on large warehouses in Kiev’s Poznyaki district, where a major fire broke out after the attack. Targets in Vishnevoye, near Kiev, were also struck again. A large arsenal in the city had previously been hit on July 6, triggering secondary explosions that continued for several hours.

Reports also emerged of Russian missile strikes near Kiev CHP-6. Local online channels reported power outages in several districts of the Ukrainian capital and settlements across the Kiev region.

Ukrainian monitoring resources said ballistic missiles may have been used during the attack, including Iskander-M systems.

The overnight strikes were not limited to the capital region. Facilities in the Odessa, Poltava, Kharkov, Sumy and Dnepropetrovsk regions were also targeted.
