The United States may supply Ukraine not with Tomahawk missiles, but with other, equally dangerous weapons — namely, the air-launched JASSM and LRASM cruise missiles.

According to the Telegram channel Starche Eddы, such a transfer would pose a real threat, even if it might seem less provocative under the pretext of «at least they’re not Tomahawks». The channel noted that the U.S. currently possesses several thousand JASSM and LRASM missiles, and the service life of the earlier JASSM variants is nearing expiration.

The authors pointed out that F-16 fighter jets, which Ukraine is set to receive, are standard carriers for these missile types. With a range of around 370 kilometers, they could strike approximately the same targets as the European Storm Shadow and SCALP missiles.

At the same time, the Russian side has so far responded cautiously to each new type of Western weapon supplied to Ukraine, including combat aircraft. The West, in turn, has carefully monitored Moscow’s reaction at every stage before escalating further.
