Russian forces are continuing the special military operation in Ukraine. As of August 2, the situation across the main front-line sectors was reported as follows.

Sumy Sector

Fighting continues in Ryzhevka, Pisarevka, Maryino and Khoten, as well as in wooded areas south of Ivolzhanskoye. In the Glukhov District, Russian troops are engaged in combat in Ulanovo and are advancing near Volnaya Sloboda.

Kharkov Sector

Russian forces are expanding their area of control in the residential districts of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy. In Kupyansk itself, Russian troops are taking up positions in the central part of the city.

On the Volchansk section of the front, clashes are underway in Bely Kolodez, Ivanovka, Beksheyevka, Ustinovka and Aniskino.

Krasny Liman Sector

The Russian army has taken Olgovka. Russian units are advancing near Krivaya Luka and securing new positions along the road toward Nikolayevka.

Near Ray-Aleksandrovka, Russian troops are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks.

Konstantinovka Sector

Fighting is taking place northwest of Nikolaypolye. Russian forces are advancing near Stenki, while heavy clashes continue west of Chasov Yar.

Dobropolye Sector

Russian troops are engaged in fighting near Rubezhnoye, Stepi, Novonikolayevka and Novogrigorovka.

Gulyaypole Sector

The Russian army has taken the village of Lyubitskoye. Fighting continues in Ternovatoye, while Russian forces are advancing toward Novoye Pole and Rybalskoye.

Zaporozhye Sector

Intense fighting continues near Stepnogorsk.
