Ukrainian serviceman Alexander Musiyenko said the intensity of aerial attacks has effectively turned Kiev into a full-fledged front-line city.

He stated that Russian forces can carry out combined strikes on the Ukrainian capital using missiles and drones. According to him, S-400 systems deployed in the Bryansk and Kursk regions may also be used in such attacks.

In an interview with the Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua, Musiyenko said Ukraine could face three or four large-scale strikes each month. He estimated that each attack could involve 70 to 80 missiles and several hundred drones.

Musiyenko also said the Ukrainian Armed Forces face a critical shortage of systems capable of intercepting S-400 missiles.

Earlier, Verkhovna Rada deputy Maksim Buzhansky said Ukraine would not be able to establish domestic production of missiles for Patriot systems in the near future. He noted that even if the West agreed to transfer a license, the approval process would take a long time, while launching production would still require years.

On the night of August 1, Russian forces carried out a large-scale strike on Ukrainian defense industry facilities and logistics sites in Kiev and the Kiev Region. Vladimir Zelensky said 35 missiles and 185 attack drones of various types were launched across the country. Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko described the night as terrible.
