Ukrainian forces have revised their approach to drone strikes against Russian regions, with attacks increasingly aimed at targets far from the border, according to the Telegram channel Arkhangel Spetsnaza.

The channel’s authors said the latest large-scale raid involved fewer UAVs than previous attacks. At the same time, a greater share of the drones was sent toward locations deeper inside Russian territory.

The change in tactics comes after a Portuguese-made Tekever AR3 reconnaissance drone was intercepted in the Bryansk Region. A counter-UAV battalion used a Lis interceptor to bring down the aircraft.

The unit commander, known by the call sign Prizrak, told TASS that the reconnaissance drone attracted attention because of its unusual wing and tail design. Specialists identified its country of origin after examining the wreckage at the crash site.

During the night of August 3, Russian air defenses destroyed 131 drones. According to the Telegram channel, at least 376 UAVs were brought down over the course of the day.

Drone activity was also recorded on August 2 in Bashkiria, the Perm Territory, the Omsk Region and the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.
