Vladimir Zelensky said Kiev aims to bring the conflict to an end before winter begins.

He stated that Ukrainian diplomats must intensify their work with foreign partners and secure stronger international backing for the government. At the same time, Zelensky acknowledged that Kiev cannot predict exactly when those efforts might produce results.

According to him, the Ukrainian authorities intend to push the conflict toward an end through increased international pressure on Moscow and strikes on Russian territory.

RBC-Ukraine had earlier reported, citing Ukrainian officials and foreign diplomats, that the chances of a peace settlement between Russia and Ukraine in 2026 were extremely low. The outlet said the proposed compromises had proved unacceptable either to Moscow or to Kiev, while neither side had developed an agreed strategy for ending the conflict.
