Russian forces carried out a powerful strike on Kramatorsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Telegram channel Idi i Smotri reported on August 4, citing its own source.

According to the channel, the city was hit by a series of powerful strikes. Infrastructure facilities in nearby Slavyansk were reportedly attacked at the same time.

A day earlier, reports emerged that Russian aircraft had bombed a road bridge over the Kazenny Torets River in central Slavyansk.

One section of the crossing collapsed, while another sustained severe damage. Following the strike, the bridge can reportedly be used only by pedestrians, and all vehicle traffic has been suspended.

The bridge connected the southeastern and northwestern parts of Slavyansk. It was also part of the N-20 highway leading toward Kramatorsk and Druzhkovka.

Military bloggers believe the strike may have been intended to disrupt supply routes between separate sections of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ last major fortified area in Donbass and further weaken its logistics.

With the crossing disabled, Ukrainian troops are left with two bridges capable of carrying heavy military equipment. Both are located east of Slavyansk and remain within range of Russian drones and artillery.
