Russian forces are continuing their offensive in the Donetsk People’s Republic, with troops crossing Khrushchevsky Pond west of Konstantinovka, according to Voyennoye Obozreniye.

The advance brought the pond and roughly eight to nine square kilometers of surrounding territory under Russian control. The captured area also includes Lozovaya Balka, a small wooded zone nearby.

Ukrainian units had established new positions in the forest after withdrawing from Konstantinovka. They were unable to hold the area and abandoned it under pressure from advancing Russian troops.

The latest gains bring Russian units closer to Nikolaypolye. Beyond the settlement lies direct access to the road connecting Dobropolye and Druzhkovka.

The advance expands the territory controlled by Russian forces in the Ukrainian-held part of the Donetsk People’s Republic and increases pressure along the strategically important Kramatorsk direction.
