Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative Alliance of Freedom party, warned that if a Tomahawk cruise missile were ever launched against Russian territory, Moscow would inevitably respond.

He emphasized that Tomahawk missiles can be equipped with nuclear warheads, calling the idea that Russia would not retaliate «laughable» and criticizing Western discussions about supplying such weapons to Ukraine.

Earlier, U. S. President Donald Trump said he had «almost made a decision» regarding the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine but wanted first to understand how Kiev intended to use them.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in turn, warned that the use of Tomahawk missiles by Ukraine would seriously damage relations between Moscow and Washington. He added that employing such weapons on Ukrainian territory would be impossible without the direct involvement of American military personnel.
