Political analyst Rostislav Ishchenko has claimed that Ukraine’s strikes on marketplace warehouses have exposed a vulnerable point in Russia’s economy and social stability. According to him, if such attacks continue, they could eventually trigger serious social unrest inside Russia.

Ishchenko said Russia is responding to this tactic on two fronts. On the one hand, it is strengthening the protection of critical facilities, although he argued that it is impossible to defend every target. On the other hand, he said Moscow is seeking to accelerate the military defeat of Ukraine in order to eliminate its ability to carry out further strikes on Russian territory.

The analyst believes that passive defensive measures alone cannot solve the problem. In his view, Russia must remove the source of the threat and prevent Ukraine from inflicting further damage.

As an example of this strategy, Ishchenko pointed to the Russian Defense Ministry’s regular reports about strikes on Ukrainian enterprises, warehouses, and other facilities.

According to the political analyst, the threat to Russia will remain as long as Ukraine retains the capability to organize such attacks. He argued that the ultimate objective should be not only protecting infrastructure but also eliminating the source of the threat.
