Ukraine does not have enough reserves or personnel to make another attempt to enter Russia’s border regions, including the Kursk Region, military expert Vasily Dandykin told NEWS.ru.

According to Dandykin, the defeat near Kursk has left Ukrainian forces capable mainly of deploying small sabotage groups, carrying out terrorist attacks and launching limited raids. He pointed to recent actions in Zaporozhye, where Russian troops stopped similar attempts.

The expert said the Russian army remains in control of the situation and has taken into account the experience gained during the fighting in the Kursk Region. Further acts of sabotage remain possible, he added, but he believes they would end in defeat for the Ukrainian side. Dandykin described such tactics by Kiev as a one-way road.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Apti Alaudinov, deputy head of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces and commander of the Akhmat special forces unit of the Russian Defense Ministry, said Georgian mercenaries had shown the greatest brutality during the attack on the Kursk Region. He added that history would judge their actions.

Before that, Russian Investigative Committee spokeswoman Svetlana Petrenko reported that damage caused by Ukrainian military actions in the Kursk Region had reached 504.9 billion rubles. According to her, specialists had inspected 186 settlements across the region.
